Bee Crochet Pattern (Garden Friends Series)

 This is a beginner friendly bee crochet pattern, there is also a video tutorial that goes along with it! This bee is part of my Garden Friends crochet series! This project is absolute beginner friendly, only uses 3 colors and can be made in 15 minutes or less.

Supplies: 

  • 4mm hook
  • weight 4 yarn (black, yellow, white)
  • stuffing
  • scissors 
  • 6mm safety eyes
  • crochet needle
Abbreviations for the Garden Friends Series:
  • st - stitch
  • r - row/round
  • ch - chain
  • mr - magic ring
  • sc - single crochet
  • inc - 2 stitches in one space
  • dec - crocheting 2 stitches together
  • hdc - half double crochet
  • BLO - back loop only
  • f/o - fasten off
  • * - repeat section
  • [] - total stitch count at end of row
Pattern starts HERE:
you will be working in continuous rounds (no sl st)

*with Yellow*

Start by: creating a magic ring

R1: sc6 in mr [6]

R2: inc6 [12]

R3: *sc, inc* repeat around [18]

R4-R6: sc18 around [18]

-place eyes between R2 and R3-

*switch to black*
R7-R8: sc18 around [18]

*switch to yellow*
R9-R10: sc18 around [18]

*switch to black*
R11-R12: sc18 around [18]

*switch to yellow*
R13: sc18 [18]

R14: *sc, dec* repeat around [12]

R15: dec6 [6]

-finish stuffing, f/o, weave in end to close hole-

The Wings (make 2):
*with White*
you will be working in continuous rounds (no sl st)

Make 2 Wings

Start by: creating a magic ring

R1: sc6 in mr [6]

R2: inc5 [10]

f/o and use ends to attach to bee
